Snapchat error SS03 occurs when Snapchat temporarily restricts access to its services from your device or network. This built-in security measure is triggered when Snapchat detects suspicious activity, such as multiple failed login attempts, creating several accounts in a short span, or accessing the app through emulators, rooted devices, or virtual machines.

Snapchat treats such behavior as potentially harmful and limits access to safeguard the platform and its users. The restriction may apply to the entire device or IP address, not just a specific account.

If the error appears, wait at least 48 hours or try switching to a different network (for example, mobile data instead of Wi-Fi). Always install Snapchat from official sources, such as the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, as using unofficial or tampered versions may lead to a permanent device ban that cannot be reversed.

What Triggers Snapchat Error SS03?

This error is Snapchat’s way of enforcing platform security. It typically occurs due to:

  • Repeated login failures from a single IP or device
  • Creating multiple accounts in a short time
  • Using rooted devices, emulators, or virtual machines
  • Installing modified APKs or using third-party Snapchat clients
  • VPN usage that mimics automated or bot-like behavior

If you’re currently blocked from accessing Snapchat, here are the most reliable steps to help resolve the SS03 error and get back into your account:

1. Clear App Cache

Clearing the app cache is a quick and effective fix. Over time, temporary files stored by Snapchat may become corrupted or fall out of sync with the server, which can trigger login problems or Snapchat’s security flags. Clearing the cache removes outdated files and lets Snapchat rebuild them fresh at the next launch, often resolving hidden bugs or glitches.

  1. Open the “Settings” app on your phone.
  2. Go to the “Apps” section.
  3. Locate Snapchat in the apps list.
  4. Tap on “Storage”.
  5. Tap on “Clear cache”.

2. Reinstall the App

If clearing the cache doesn’t work, reinstalling Snapchat may resolve deeper issues caused by a corrupted install, outdated app version, or modified files. Reinstallation ensures you’re using the most current and official version of the app, which helps avoid detection as a suspicious environment.

On Android emulators like BlueStacks, installing the “Optimized version” provided by BlueStacks improves compatibility and reduces the risk of Snapchat flagging your session.

Mobile Devices

  1. Open the “Settings” app on your phone.
  2. Go to the “Apps” section.
  3. Find Snapchat in the list and uninstall it.
  4. Open the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
  5. Search for “Snapchat”, then download and reinstall it.

Android Emulator

  1. Launch your Android emulator (e.g., BlueStacks).
  2. Go to Settings > Apps.
  3. Find and uninstall Snapchat from the list.
  4. On the BlueStacks home screen, open the App Center.
  5. Search for “Snapchat”, then install the version labeled “Optimized version” for improved compatibility.

3. Contact App Support

If the SS03 error persists even after reinstalling the app and clearing cache, it’s likely that your device or IP address is temporarily flagged by Snapchat. In such cases, contacting official support is your best option. Provide accurate account information and a clear explanation of the issue. Snapchat usually reviews these cases within 12–48 hours.

  1. Open a browser on your device.
  2. Go to the Snapchat Support page: https://support.snapchat.com
  3. Scroll down and click “Contact Us”.
  4. Select “I can’t access my account”.
  5. Choose “Yes” under “I see an error message when I log in”.
  6. Fill in the required fields:
    • Your Username, Email, and Device Info
    • Describe the issue (mention you are receiving the SS03 error)

Follow the on-screen prompts to complete your support request.

  7. Wait for a response within 1–2 business days.

How to Prevent Snapchat Error SS03 in the Future?

To reduce the chances of encountering the SS03 error again:

  • Use only the official Snapchat app downloaded from trusted sources like the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
  • Avoid running Snapchat on emulators, rooted phones, or virtual machines, as these can be flagged as suspicious environments.
  • Do not use VPNs, fake GPS apps, or third-party Snapchat tools, which are commonly linked to bot-like behavior.
  • Refrain from creating multiple Snapchat accounts in a short period on the same device or network.
  • Maintain stable login activity and avoid repeated failed attempts to access your account.

The Snapchat error code SS07 occurs when your device is banned due to creating or logging into an excessive number of accounts in a short period. This means Snapchat has flagged your device (not just a single account) as violating its policies, thereby blocking access to all accounts from that phone.

Snapchat Error SS07

While Snapchat explicitly states that its support team cannot reverse device bans, there are still practical steps you can take to bypass this restriction. Below, we’ll explain why this happens and share proven workarounds to regain access to Snapchat.

1. Reinstall Snapchat

Start by uninstalling Snapchat through your device settings, then reinstall it from the app store. This process resets the app’s data and clears its cache, which often fixes the SS07 error caused by corrupted temporary files or conflicting settings.

  1. Open your device’s Settings menu.
  2. Navigate to Apps → Manage Apps (or App Management, depending on your device).

Go to Apps section in Android settings

  1. Locate and select Snapchat from the list of installed apps.
  2. Tap Uninstall and confirm the action if prompted.

Uninstalling Snapchat

  1. Now reinstall it from the PlayStore.

For iPhone:

  1. Go to SettingsGeneraliPhone Storage.
  2. Tap SnapchatOffload App.
  3. Reinstall it from the App Store.

2. Disable Your VPN

Snapchat’s security features may flag VPN connections as suspicious, especially if the app detects frequent location changes or masked IP addresses. This can trigger errors like SS07 during login attempts. To resolve this:

  1. Turn off your VPN completely.
  2. Close and reopen Snapchat.
  3. Try logging in again.

If the error disappears, your VPN was likely conflicting with Snapchat’s location verification process. Consider using the app without a VPN or whitelisting Snapchat in your VPN settings if available.

3. Delete Additional Accounts

If your device was banned because you have multiple Snapchat accounts, you’ll need to remove the extra accounts linked to it. To do this, use a different device (like a friend’s phone) or your PC to delete the additional accounts.

If you want to keep using those accounts, they’ll only work on a separate device that hasn’t been banned.

(This workaround is widely discussed by users, including in this Reddit thread.)

If the ban was a mistake—for example, you didn’t create multiple accounts—contact Snapchat Support directly. Explain the situation, and they’ll guide you through the appeal process to restore access.

]]>
If your Instagram app isn’t loading account activity, there might be a problem with your internet connection, account settings, or the app itself. This guide will help pinpoint possible issues and provide solutions that may work for you.

1. Check Your Internet Connection

If the Instagram app can’t load your account’s activity or any other content, your first plan of action should be to verify that you’re connected to a stable internet connection, whether Wi-Fi or Mobile Data. You may also try to switch to the other option to see if it fixes the issue. To verify, run an online internet speed test to see if your connection is stable.

2. Restart the Instagram App

If there’s nothing wrong with your internet connection, it is advised that you restart the Instagram app since a simple restart can often fix issues that are otherwise hard to explain. With this, you can also try to restart your phone to rule out the possibility of an on-device software glitch.

It is important to understand that minimizing the app to Recents is not the same as “closing” it completely. To close all apps on Android, you’ll need to swipe up from the bottom, hold, and then let go. Then, swipe from left to right, and on the left, tap “Clear all.” Note that the procedure to close apps on your specific device may vary.

3. Update the Instagram App

Ensure that you’re using the latest version of the Instagram app. At times, newer updates come with patch fixes for issues in previous builds. You can open the Google Play Store on Android or the App Store on iOS to check if there’s a software update available.

For the majority, it may be a good idea to leave automatic updates enabled since this way, apps stay up-to-date without the user being constantly mindful of when to update certain apps manually. To do this:

  1. Open the Google Play Store.
  2. On the top right-hand side, tap on the profile icon.
  3. Tap Settings > Network Preferences > Auto-update apps.

4. Clear App Cache and Data

On Android, clearing the app cache may fix certain issues as well. Since this issue most likely stems from a bug or an improper connection, it is recommended that you clear out your Instagram app cache, which may, over time, accumulate corrupted files or data that may interfere with the proper functioning of the app.

5. Log Out and Log Back In

Sometimes, a temporary glitch with your app or account settings can lead to unexpected errors. Cycle through logging out and back into your account to see if it fixes the issue. You may also try logging in to a different account to see if the issue is account-specific.

6. Log In Through a Browser

The Instagram app might be facing temporary issues or glitches, so it is recommended that you try to log in through a different medium, preferably a browser, since it may bypass app-specific issues.

This would also give you a hint as to where the issue lies. Some people have third-party apps connected to their accounts, and this would be a way to verify if there’s external interference leading to the issue in the first place.

7. Check if Your Device Has Enough Storage

If your Instagram account works within a browser, there is a chance that your mobile device or the app has an issue. Ensure that you have enough space for Instagram to store additional data on your device. You can do this by deleting unwanted documents, photos, and apps from your device. Clearing cache and data for certain unused apps may also help.

8. Check for Instagram Server Issues

When you can’t seem to load content on Instagram, there is a chance that Meta’s servers at the back end are down or experiencing a higher load than usual. This is exactly what happened back in March 2024, when Meta services, including Facebook and Instagram, were hit by widespread outages, locking users out of their accounts.

To check whether there are any reported issues with the servers, you may check other social media platforms or websites to verify the cause and authenticity of the issue.

If you find that Instagram notifications are not coming through to your device, there is a chance that you may miss important updates on your account. This issue is usually caused by improperly configured permission settings, a software bug or a glitch, or even interruption-limiting features, like Do Not Disturb, Airplane Mode and Instagram’s very own Sleep mode.

What do you do when the red notification icon shows a number but no notifications appear?

1. Allow Instagram’s App Notifications

When you can’t receive any of your Instagram notifications on your device, the first step, naturally, is to check the app’s notification settings. It is possible that push notifications for Instagram aren’t allowed on your device in the first place.

Since Instagram always asks for user consent when the app is installed for the first time, it is possible that the user didn’t agree to the message dialog. To enable push notifications on your device:

Check if notifications are paused from within the app.
  1. Open the Instagram app, and tap on your profile icon at the bottom right-hand side.
  2. Tap the three horizontal line menu icon at the top right-hand side of the screen.
  3. Select Settings > Notifications.
  4. From the list of notifications, tap on those that you wish to receive on your device.

2. Check if Airplane Mode or Do Not Disturb is Enabled

When Do Not Disturb (DND) or Airplane Mode is enabled, your phone essentially halts all incoming notifications from reaching you. In DND, all your notifications are silenced; there’s no sound or vibration, but they are still visible. In Airplane mode, you’re disconnected from all networks, and the notifications fail to reach you in the first place.

If DND is enabled, your Instagram notifications will be silenced.

To resolve this issue, make sure that you have disabled both Airplane mode and DND on your device, which can be done from within the phone’s settings.

3. Disable Battery Saving Mode

On most mobile devices, battery saving mode is automatically enabled once the charge level drops below a certain level. The user may not notice this and, during this timeframe, may miss any important notifications. While the battery saving mode doesn’t “block” notifications per se, it does silence them in most cases.

Ensure that Battery Saving Mode is disabled so notifications beep or vibrate.

4. Check Your Internet Connection

At times, even if you’re connected to a network, you may not receive an active internet response. This means that any notifications on your Instagram account and app may not be displayed or go through to your device. In such cases, there’s no issue with any of the notification settings, and it is hard to diagnose, especially if you use a targeted data plan.

Use an internet speed test to verify if you have an active internet response.

Ensure that the app in question is active and working on your current connection. If you’re on mobile data, make sure that Instagram isn’t throttled by your ISP. For more details, it is advised that you contact your concerned data provider.

5. Check if Sleep Mode is Enabled on Instagram

Instagram has its proprietary “Sleep Mode“, which is designed to help users take a breather away from the app. It silences notifications and sends automated responses to direct messages. When this is enabled, you may not receive any notifications on your account.

Disable Sleep Mode, if enabled on your account.

To check if Sleep Mode is enabled on your account:

  1. Open Instagram, and tap on your profile picture at the bottom right-hand side of the screen.
  2. Tap on the three horizontal line menu icon at the top right-hand side.
  3. Tap on Settings > Time management > Sleep mode.
  4. Flip the toggle to turn Sleep Mode on or off.

6. Restart Your Device

There’s a chance that a software glitch or bug is causing the issue. This can especially be identified if, other than Instagram, all other apps’ notifications aren’t going through as well. A simple restart can solve issues that are otherwise hard to explain.

A simple restart may clear out any bugs or glitches.

Power off your device, boot it up again, reconnect to any wireless networks, and check to see if the issue still persists.

7. Update the Instagram App

If all else fails, make sure that you have the latest version of the app running on your phone. Often, when the app is updated, older versions may fail to work properly, resulting in a poor experience. If you have any issues with the way newer versions take more space or use more internet, you can always opt for the toned-down Instagram Lite.

You can update the Instagram app from within the Google Play Store.

8. Check if You’re Logged Into the Correct Account

At times, it may seem like you’re logged into a certain account, perhaps one that has a lot of activity on it, only to find out that the Instagram app has a different account logged in. This would mean that no notifications for the account that is logged out will come through to you. Simply open the app and verify that the account in question is the same as the one that is logged in.

When typing in the Instagram search bar, you may see unwanted search suggestions that you don’t like at all and want to remove from the Instagram. These search suggestions are based on previous searches, interactions, and popular profiles, enhancing the user experience. However, sometimes this becomes very annoying, especially if Instagram suggests profiles that you don’t like or are irrelevant.
Instagram does not allow its users to remove search suggestions because it’s in their algorithm to suggest relevant and close options to enhance the user experience. However, there are some indirect or direct ways to remove these search suggestions that we listed in this guide.

Method 1. Block the Individual Search Suggestions

If you are seeing the same search suggestions repeatedly, you might feel frustrated and want to get rid of them. To do this, you can simply block those profile suggestions to prevent them from appearing in the Instagram search suggestions when typing.

  1. From the Instagram Home, tap the Search icon.
  2. Now type the account name that you want to remove from the suggestion and then tap on the profile.
  3. Then, tap on the three dots in the top right corner and select Block.
  4. Once again, tap Block to confirm the action.

2. Search for New Accounts

Another effective way to remove the search suggestions is to search for new accounts or profiles. Since Instagram shows suggestions based on previous history, we can simply change the algorithm by searching for new accounts. This will feed new data into the algorithm, which will result in new suggestions for new profiles.

3. Clear the Entire Search History

Along with searching for new accounts, it is recommended to clear your entire search history. Although clearing the search history may not completely remove suggestions, it will help reduce unwanted ones, especially if you search for new accounts to replace previous suggestions.

  1. Go to your Instagram Profile and tap on the three bars in the upper right corner.
  2. Tap the option that says Your Activity.
  3. Scroll down a little bit and click where it says Recent Searches.
  4. Here, you will see all the recent searches; simply tap Clear All from the top right corner.
  5. Then, tap Clear All again to confirm the action.
  6. Once done, go back to your profile, tap the three bars in the top right corner, and select Settings.
  7. Scroll down to the bottom and tap Help.
  8. Then, tap Report a Problem and select Report Problem without shaking.
  9. Finally, tap Include and Continue, then paste or type the following paragraph.
  10. Once done, click Send in the top right corner to submit the report. This should hopefully resolve the issue.

Getting verified on LinkedIn involves verifying the personal information in your profile to prove your identity and authenticity.

What is LinkedIn Verification
What is LinkedIn Verification

LinkedIn focuses on three main categories of verification: identity, workplace, and educational institution. Each category has different methods and requirements for verification and the process is free.

Your profile name must match the official name in your documents. For example, a Katherine who prefers to go by Kate would need to use her official name for verification.

For identity verification, LinkedIn offers two third-party services, CLEAR and Persona. CLEAR is for residents of the US, Canada, and Mexico who are 18 years or older with a valid government-issued ID. Persona is for those with NFC-enabled passports.

To verify your workplace affiliation, the method is limited to those with a work email, a verified Microsoft Entra ID, or a LinkedIn Learning license sponsored by the company. For educational verification, you need an educational email or an institutional LinkedIn Learning license.

The initial steps for all methods are the same:

  1. Launch the LinkedIn app and log in to your account.
  2. Tap on your profile icon at the top left corner and choose View Profile.
LinkedIn Profile
Click on View profile
  1. Tap the three dots icon and select About this profile.
LinkedIn Profile
Go to About this profile
  1. Under Verifications, tap Verify now.
LinkedIn Verification
Tap on Verify now

This will display the different options you have to verify your account based on your profile info. Choose one accordingly.

  1. To verify with Persona, agree to the terms and conditions, choose your country, scan the NFC chip in your passport, review the details, take a selfie, and you’re done.
Persona Verification
Tap on Agree and Continue, select your country and hit Continue, then upload your passport details
  1. To verify with CLEAR, enter your personal phone number and email address (this will automatically create a CLEAR account if you didn’t have one before), take a photo of yourself and your government-issued ID, then tap on Yes, Share.
CLEAR Verification
Enter your phone number to get started, take your selfie, and hit Continue
  1. To verify via work email, add your work email address to receive the code. Then, enter the received code to complete verification.
  2. To verify with Microsoft Entra, log in with your corporate credentials on the sign-in page. The system will automatically retrieve the necessary information and redirect you back to LinkedIn.
  3. To verify via your educational institution, provide the email address associated with your institution to receive a 6-digit code. Enter the code to complete the process.

Some people don’t see the need for a verification badge on LinkedIn, as it might not be a priority for hiring managers.

However, the verification badge signifies credibility on LinkedIn and can enhance your visibility by ranking your profile higher in search results. So, if your goal is to be seen and make connections, a verification badge can help.

Final Thoughts

LinkedIn verification is a symbol of reliability, credibility, and professionalism. While LinkedIn only displays the badge and not the information used to verify your account, it raises a security concern for some. Additionally, if verified through your work email, the verification needs to be renewed every 365 days.

FAQs

What happens when your current Verified Employee ID expires?

When your Verified Employee ID expires, the verification badge is removed from your LinkedIn profile. However, you can get verified again after renewing the employee ID.

How do you remove verification from your LinkedIn profile?

To remove your LinkedIn verification, open the LinkedIn app, tap on your profile at the top left corner, and choose Settings. From there, select Account Preferences and go to Verifications. Tap Delete to remove any of the verifications. However, once deleted, it cannot be restored.

6. Violates community guidelines

Purchasing followers contravenes Instagram’s push for authentic interactions on the platform. This practice may result in actions from Instagram, including the removal of inauthentic likes, follows, and comments.

Effectiveness of buying followers in 2024

As Instagram continues to advance, its algorithms and features have grown increasingly sophisticated, significantly impacting the effectiveness of buying followers. Here’s how recent changes affect this practice:

↪ Changes in Instagram’s algorithm

Instagram’s algorithm has evolved to prioritize user engagement over sheer follower numbers. This means that accounts with high engagement rates—measured by likes, comments, shares, and saves—are more likely to appear in users’ feeds and on Explore Pages. Thus, purchased followers, who typically do not engage with content, do not enhance the visibility of your posts. The algorithm’s evolution underscores meaningful interactions, rendering the strategy of buying followers largely ineffective.

↪ Detection of fake followers

With advanced analytics and machine learning, Instagram has improved its capacity to identify and flag fake accounts. These tools scrutinize patterns such as engagement frequency, comment authenticity, and sudden follower growth spikes. Sudden increases in followers without corresponding spikes in engagement are warning signals that might prompt further examination by Instagram’s systems.

Ethical considerations for buying Instagram followers

Buying Instagram followers raises ethical issues concerning authenticity and transparency in social media interactions. This tactic deceives the public and advertisers by artificially inflating follower numbers, creating an inaccurate perception of popularity and influence. It undermines the trust users place in the authenticity of social profiles and the credibility of their content. It skews the competitive environment, granting an unfair advantage to those employing deceptive tactics over those cultivating their follower base organically. This can lead to a broader loss of trust across the social media landscape, affecting how users perceive and interact with content on various platforms.

Alternative strategies for buying followers

Alternative strategies for buying followers
To achieve organic growth on Instagram, concentrate on enhancing your content’s quality and fostering engagement through genuine interactions. Consider leveraging Instagram’s paid advertising for targeted outreach and better long-term outcomes than buying followers.

1. Enhance your content quality

Invest in creating high-quality, relevant content that resonates with your target audience. Utilize high-resolution images, engaging captions, and captivating videos. Aim for content that informs, entertains, or inspires to encourage sharing and engagement.

2. Boost engagement

Proactively engage with your followers by responding to comments, liking posts, and participating in conversations. This builds a community around your profile and encourages more interaction, which can lead to increased visibility and organic growth.

3. Prefer genuine interaction

Connect authentically with other users by commenting on their posts, engaging in challenges, and collaborating with peers. Genuine interactions foster lasting relationships, potentially leading to more organic followers.

4. Paid advertising

Investing in Instagram’s paid advertising options enables targeting specific demographics and interests, ensuring that your content reaches potential followers who are genuinely interested in your niche. Paid ads provide analytics that helps you gauge the effectiveness of your campaigns and refine your strategies accordingly.

Should you buy fake followers for Instagram?

Purchasing fake followers for Instagram is not advisable. Although it may offer a quick boost in numbers, this strategy fails to deliver genuine engagement or sustainable growth and ultimately undermines your credibility and trustworthiness. Crucially, it violates Instagram’s policies, risking penalties such as account suspension. A more effective strategy focuses on organic growth through quality content, authentic interactions, and targeted advertising, ensuring a strong, engaged follower base that can provide tangible, long-term benefits for your personal or brand reputation.

Snapchat remains a top choice for Gen Z thanks to its innovative features and user-friendly interface. A standout feature of the Snapchat Plus subscription is the Friend Solar System.

This feature creatively represents your closest friends as planets in your personalized solar system, providing a fun and engaging way to visualize your top friendships on the app.

If you’re curious about who your “Mercury” is or how the planets align in your social universe, this guide will help you understand the Snapchat Plus Planets, their order, meanings, and how to make the most of this exciting feature.

What is Snapchat Plus?

Snapchat is a popular app for sharing photos and videos, called “snaps,” with friends. Users can enhance snaps with filters and lenses and create “streaks” by exchanging snaps daily. The app also features “Stories,” which are snaps viewable for 24 hours, and a Snap Map to share real-time locations with friends.

Snapchat Plus is a premium subscription that offers exclusive features like custom app icons, story rewatch counts, and the ability to mark friends as BFFs. Subscribers can also see who rewatched their stories and use the Friend Solar System to visualize their closest friends on the app.

How Do Snapchat Planets Work?

How do Snapchat Planets work?

Snapchat Planets are part of the Friend Solar System feature available to Snapchat Plus subscribers. This feature visualizes your closest friends as planets in a solar system, with you as the Sun. The planets, from Mercury to Neptune, represent your top eight friends based on how frequently you interact with them.

For example, the friend you snap and chat with the most will be represented as Mercury, the closest planet to the Sun. Each subsequent planet represents friends with decreasing levels of interaction, with Neptune being the eighth closest friend. This fun and unique feature helps you easily see who your best friends are on Snapchat.

Snapchat Planets Order and Meaning

The Snapchat Friend Solar System assigns your top eight friends to different planets, creating a fun and engaging way to visualize your social interactions. Here is a detailed explanation of each planet and what it represents:

1. Mercury (Closest Friend)

Mercury (Closest friend)

Mercury, the closest planet to the Sun, represents your best friend on Snapchat. This planet is shown as a red planet with several red hearts surrounding it. If someone is assigned Mercury in your Friend Solar System, it means you share the most snaps and messages with them, indicating strong, frequent interaction.

2. Venus (Second Closest Friend)

Venus (Second closest friend)

Venus is the second planet in the Snapchat solar system and symbolizes your second closest friend. It is shown as a beige-colored planet with pink, yellow, and blue hearts around it. You interact with this friend almost as much as your top friend, sharing a significant amount of communication and snaps.

3. Earth (Third Closest Friend)

4. Mars (Fourth Closest Friend)

Mars (Fourth closest friend)

Mars, known for its reddish appearance, is the fourth planet in the Snapchat Friend Solar System. It symbolizes your fourth closest friend and is represented with stars and purple and blue hearts. This indicates a strong bond, though slightly less interaction than the top three friends.

7. Uranus (Seventh Closest Friend)

Facebook’s “Favorites” feature prioritizes posts from specific friends, and Twitter’s (X) “Circles” lets you tweet to a smaller group.
